🦃 Turkeys Competition
Ten weekends from 2 October, alternating nett and gross. Cards Friday to Sunday, with two sessions on Saturday, and your best card of the weekend counts. Prizes in each grade: Seniors, Inters and Juniors / Ladies.
📋 Rules, times and entry
Times: Friday 1.30pm · Saturday 10am and 1.30pm · Sunday 10am. Hand in as many cards as you play; your best card of the weekend counts.
Entry: Turkeys €5 · Hamper €2 a week · 2s €3 for the season · Hole-in-one €2 a week.
Grades: Seniors, Inters and Juniors / Ladies, with prizes in each.
Weekly turkeys: weeks alternate nett and gross. One turkey per person a season — top a week again and it's a bottle. Win a week and 2 shots go on your handicap for the rest of the competition, plus 1 more for every win after that.
Hamper: play 8 of the 10 weeks. Your best 4 nett weeks plus your best 4 gross weeks count, lowest total wins. Sponsored by Tuite's Butchers.
2s: first member to get a 2 on all 18 holes over the season. Only your first card of each weekend counts, and only a 2 counts — a hole-in-one doesn't.
Hole-in-one: on the selected holes only. The round runs until someone gets one, and a hole is added each weekend it isn't won. Whoever gets one wins the pot (shared if more than one on the same day) and new holes are picked for the next round.
